Emma Stone didn’t mince words when it came to one of her best friends applauding her Golden Globes 2024 win Sunday night.
“What an a–hole, am I right?” Stone joked backstage when asked about the pop star’s support.
“I’ve known her for almost 20 years, so I’m very happy she was there. She was also nominated tonight, so I’m very happy she was there — but what an a–hole.”
Stone, 35, took home the Best Actress trophy for her role in “Poor Things.” When the “Easy A” star’s name was announced as the winner, the “Cruel Summer” singer and friend Keleigh Sperry gave the actress a standing ovation.
Although she received tremendous support from her friends, Stone focused on her husband, Dave McCrary.
“Dave, I have to start with you really quickly,” Stone began her acceptance speech.

Not long after Stone accepted her award, the “Anti-Hero” singer appeared to depart the award show early after her “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” concert film lost to “Barbie” in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.
Swift had a girls’ night with Keleigh Sperry, as Travis Kelce had NFL priorities.

Swift’s decision to leave also took place after she became livid over host Jo Koy’s joke about her and boyfriend Travis Kelce, who skipped the bash because of his game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
“The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL — on the Golden Globes we have fewer camera shots to Taylor Swift,” the comedian quipped during his opening monologue.
The pop star appeared to leave the ceremony early after losing.
