Karoline Leavitt Brands Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei ‘Foolish’ and His Regime ‘Brutal’—His Shocking Response Leaves America Stunned
In a fiery and unapologetically bold speech delivered during a press briefing in Washington, D.C., rising conservative figure Karoline Leavitt—former Assistant Press Secretary under the Trump administration and current GOP congressional candidate—unleashed a blistering critique of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Leavitt called Khamenei “foolish,” his regime “brutal,” and urged the Biden administration to “wake up to the threat that Tehran poses to global peace, women’s rights, and Western civilization.”
Her words, sharp and direct, ignited a diplomatic firestorm that culminated in an unexpected and deeply provocative response from Khamenei himself, leaving Washington stunned and the international community on edge.
Leavitt’s Scathing Rebuke
The incident began as part of Leavitt’s campaign to position herself as a leading voice on national security. Known for her fiery rhetoric and unapologetically America-first worldview, Leavitt held nothing back.
“Ayatollah Khamenei is not just an outdated theocrat trapped in the 12th century—he is a foolish tyrant, propped up by fear and violence. His regime crushes dissent, jails journalists, murders women for showing their hair, and funds terror proxies across the Middle East. If that’s not brutality, what is?”
Her comments referenced the ongoing human rights abuses in Iran, particularly against women and political activists. Leavitt also highlighted Iran’s continued support for groups like Hezbollah and the Houthis, as well as its growing alliance with Russia and China.
“The West must stop pretending this is a government we can reason with,” she continued. “Khamenei is not a misunderstood leader—he is a dictator whose vision for the world is diametrically opposed to our values. And yet, the Biden administration continues to chase negotiations while Iran builds nuclear capability and suppresses its people with boots and bullets.”
Leavitt’s remarks were initially received as part of her broader hawkish stance, but within 48 hours, they drew a response that no one in Washington expected.
Khamenei’s Unexpected and Alarming Response
In a rare direct address that aired on Iranian state television and was later shared via his official social media accounts, Ayatollah Khamenei issued a statement that stunned the international community.
While he did not name Leavitt outright, he clearly referenced her comments:
“Some young and arrogant politicians in the West believe that by shouting and insulting, they can cover up their own country’s declining power and moral decay. They call our resistance foolish. But what is foolish is believing that empires built on lies and exploitation can survive in a world awakening to truth.”
The Iranian leader didn’t stop there. In a move that analysts say was unusually personal and deliberately provocative, he accused the “American right wing” of pushing “warmongering rhetoric to distract from domestic collapse.”
